In-Home Services:
The goal of the Coos/Curry In-Home Services Program is to help Seniors maintain an independent, dignified lifestyle.  In-Home Services provides basic housekeeping, personal care and respite care.  Help can be provided on either a temporary or long-term basis.  Services are provided by trained, supervised workers who have been screened and hired by the In-Home Services Program.

The In-Home Services Program is a field service of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) office which is a service of South Coast Business Employment Corporation (SCBEC).

Funding for the In-Home Services Program is provided through Oregon Project Independence (OPI), insurance companies, Workers’ Compensation programs and client fees depending on the individual’s situation.  Services are provided on a sliding fee basis to those over the age of 60 and those with Alzheimer's.  Those under the age of 60 may be able to receive services on a full fee basis.

	Home Care
		Sweep, vacuum, mop and dust.
		Clean kitchen and bathroom.
		Do laundry and change bed linen.
		Shopping.
		Respite Care.
		Provide bathing and dressing assistance.
		Assist with medication set-up.
		Assist mobility and activity.
		Supervise exercises.
	Supportive Services
		Arrange transportation to and from appointments.
		Assist on Dial-A-Ride.
		Promote independence and personal dignity.
		Provide reassurance.
		Offer a friendly ear.
		Encourage activity.
