A variety of workshops are available to assist in your job search.  Customers MUST complete the Registration Process prior to scheduling workshops.

  • Please be on time for workshops; the deadline for check-in is five minutes before the class is scheduled to begin.
  • Late arrivals will not be admitted.
  • Children are not allowed in the workshops.
  • Workshop times and dates are subject to change.

7 SMARTS & FIGURE 8
7 Smarts is a resource model that explores Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligence.  Through Figure 8, you will discover the stable, repetitive patterns people live in may be a barrier; for those wanting to change, this workshop offers a way to intentionally alter the pattern.
APPLICATION WORKSHOP
Filling out an application is an important step in searching for a job.  Learn tips on how to fill out an application correctly and completely.
COLORS
Learn about people’s natural strengths regardless of age, gender or culture.  Utilize COLORS to help you understand yourself and others.
INTERVIEW WORKSHOP
Learn how to make a positive, first impression during an interview.  Become skilled at interview basics, and find out how to answer interview questions appropriately.  Participate in interactive, video-enhanced mock interviews to discover what interviewers see.
NCRC TESTING
The National Career Readiness Certificate is a nationally recognized certificate and assesses work-related skills in Math, Reading and Locating Information measuring what you can do, rather than what you know.  BY APPOINTMENT ONLY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
NETWORKING
This fast-paced workshop explores basic elements of a successful job search while offering an opportunity to network with other job seekers and share job leads.  Learn strategies on how to market yourself to prospective employers.
RESUME WORKSHOP
Learn different strategies and formats to highlight your skills and abilities by choosing between a chronological- and functional-style resume, listing transferrable skills from your work history (including voluneer work), and tailoring your resume for specific jobs.
ROAD TO SUCCESS
Overcome challenges that could include a criminal background, termination or poor work history.  Learn how to discuss your background with employers and address other skills needed to obtain employment in a demanding job market.
