Types of Training:
Contact a South Coast Business Employment Corporation (SCBEC) representative for eligibility requirements regarding the following programs.

Construction Crew:
This is a state-certified, pre-apprentice construction program. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and must have a high school diploma, GED or be able to obtain one by the end of the program.  The training focuses on customer service, basic construction skills, safety, tool identification/proper usage and project planning/implementation.  The program also includes work maturity, practical application conducted on the job and intensive job search.

On-the-Job Training:
On-the-Job Training opportunities are available to registered youth, adult and dislocated workers in Coos and Curry Counties.  A customized training plan will include a job description, outline the method of training, identify achievable goals necessary for satisfactory completion and is designed to enhance employment skills.  The participant earns wages while receiving training, becomes an employee and is subject to the provisions of the employer’s personnel policies.

Work Experience:
Learn new skills and update old skills to re-enter the workforce.  Gain experience in your area of interest while exploring how to become a valuable employee.  Upon successful completion, participants will obtain valuable work references.
